Pure speculation of course;

Get the share price up so that any potential hostile bid for the company comes in at a higher price. Given the low valuation, it could be a target and having it languish in the low 50's makes it vulnerable for the majority of shareholders to vote yes.

Get the share price up for a financing so that institutions can get a chunk of the company at a reasonable price given how 2024 will shape up.
