I agree the west coast is getting/ is strange.  The latest wave of Techie coming up from Cal are very cash nuts.  Prices of houseS going through the roof.  My little retirement house that I got for under 100K.  I got offered 500K last summer.  Taxes and insurance going up and the wife has three years to finsh fatting up her 401K.  Got more appartments going up than you can believe.  All the stuff that was planned but never had need or money for.
