Get your facts straight.  The starting wage is well over 80K now and about to be well over 120K once the contract is ratified.  It was all about getting those new pilots paid more.

I'm looking at the pay tables, what are you referencing?  Something you heard on CBC?  A company news release?

The new year one payrate is $84.12 and pilots generally get paid for 900 hours/year.  Note, they work much more than 900 hours but only get paid for 900.  Do the math;  $84.12 X 900 = $75,708.  Add a little bit for a few other paid training days and you're very close to $80K/year.
