RE:Can’t get the required votesI sense a lot of truth in your post. If this doesn't go in favour of Team Klein, the suitors might show up but with deep pockets and short fingers.
Without the required votes, the longshot deal put together to conjoin Canopy and all of the other pieces is probably dead in the water.
All of those shares will lose whatever value is left and existing shareholders will have to face the fact that the conversion of any potential value they once had will be scooped by the collaterol collectors.
Since Constellation stepped in to our domain, it isn't clear if our condition is bad management or deliberate intent to cut original shareholders out of their investment.
There is a case to be made for either side!
I am the sad holder of several pot company shares who have talked the good talk of success and financial gain but their management just turned out to be the bad news bears as the value of those companies of potential got squandered.
Securities commissions are ill equiped or unwilling to take on the complaints filed by myself and others, possibly because the big black cloud of despair has darkened the potential of this new vice and pharma potential.
US politicians could help this industry out a lot with some Federal legalization legislation that could provide a good shot of hope for investors but instead treat it like a political plum while sitting on their hands at vote time.
The fact that 50% or better of the potpreneurs are illegal, blackmarket or gang related and seem to be doing ok while the ones trying to be legal and conforming are losing ground with their efforts.
Klein has positioned Constellation in an enviable position to pick up any pieces of value if they don't get the votes and as far as Canopy's current shareprice is concerned, there could be huge upside potential if the new, lean and mean entity pulls all of it's strengths, brands and bricks and mortar back up to where Canopy was once, not so long ago.
Canopy was built by a dreamer and destroyed by a bean counter, or so it seems.
It once was a formidable, leading potpreneur by name and reputation and could be again depending on whether our leader is really our leader or just an acquisitor for Constellation's interests.
The vote should give us the answer we are seeking!
