RE:YieldYou've pretty much summed up the essense of junior mining company investing. It's pretty much like buying lottery tickets, given that the chances of success are similar. But, like the lottery, people feel compelled to do it anyway. I've invested in a lot of them. Most, even ones that look pretty promising, go nowhere. A few (Pretivm, Ivanhoe are among my winners) do very well. Others break even, or even double or triple, but still don't beat the S&P 500 ever the same time period. I think we invest in them (and except for Ivanhoe they are a pretty small part of my overall portfolio) for the same reason that everone still has a bit of that childhood dream: finding buried treasure.
