I think it's more likley that after the Kiddy hormone test failed Gilles couldn't see a quick path to more easy cash and decided now was the time to duck out before the B word starts getting tossed around, bankruptcy that is..
I think more than a new leader is needed . After so long with the poison staus quo the culture of failure and secrecy has permeated the entire company. It is going to take a top to bottom personel change if there is any hope for the future. Starting with the invisible Chairman and ending with the janitor. On top of his many other failures Gilles wasted most the the patent period for PGX. I believe it has 4 years left so the new guy/gal better be quick.
Speculating as to the reason or reason's why or who initiated the decision is a waste of time in my view. The point being is that it should have happened long ago, but for whatever reason's it did not. I choose to live in today's world reading the press release stating that it will become reality.
I choose to move forward and see if CSCI can find the right person for the job and bring these products to market finally, the pipeline does hold some interesting prospects that could prove to be a game changer for this company.
Gilles was a respected scienetist, but a terrible business man in my view. There is still hope for the future, let's see how serious the BOD is in righting the ship. Tic Tok.
