RE:RE:climate"Global temperatures really started taking off in the 1980's. "

Well put. other interesting questions remain like, when did society recognize the reality of climate change?  Or that the human race could indeed have an effect upon the climate.  Some still insist that it is a hoax.

However, the rapid intensification of Helene over the warmer waters in the gulf, ain’t no hoax, and you better not try telling the folks in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina who were flooded, that a hoax flooded their home or flattened their town.  The inconvenient truth is that these storms will become more frequent and more violent.  We might need Categories 6 and 7 to describe what’s to occur.

BTW - Another hurricane in the Pacific brushed up against Acapulco which still hasn’t recovered from that other “unusual” rapidly intensifying hurricane that hit them a while back, which points us toward the cost of rehabilitation and infrastructure repair and how deep the nation’s pockets really are.   All this suggests monetary inflation, deficit spending, increased sovereign debt, higher prices and lower standard of living for a smaller global population.

All that in 30 years.
