'With the insurance card in the digital wallet five years ago, we relied on an innovative technology and idea in equal measure. The Postbank Digital Study 2024 shows that 66% of Germans now use modern payment methods such as Apple/Google Pay. The generation of digital natives in particular appreciates the convenience and speed of contactless payment. This development confirms that our decision to push digital wallets as a touchpoint and provide them with insurance-relevant customer added value was exactly the right one.

It all started with the MEINRECHT ServiceCard at RAG Rechtsschutzversicherungs-AG. In the meantime, a number of other use cases have been added to the group of public insurers and in cooperation with the id-fabrik at the savings banks. These include, for example, the agency wallet of the Provinzial Konzern 's sales partners or the digital car service card of the ffentliche Versicherung Braunschweig.

We are relying on a strategic partnership with Passcreator by Fobi for our OEV Wallet solution. The whole thing is GDPR-compliant and ISO27k-certified made in Germany at the end of the year. Passcreator by Fobi is the market leader in use by four of the ten largest global insurance companies and a tech supplier to Allianz, VHV, ADAC and the annual OSCARS, among others.
