AERO's Progress at Sun Dog & Murmac Projects (VIDEO + NEWS) Aero Energy Limited (TSXV: AERO, OTC Pink: AAUGF, FSE: UU3) has made significant strides in its exploration efforts at the Sun Dog and Murmac Uranium Projects in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada, near Uranium City.
During Aero’s 2024 summer drilling campaign, the company drilled 16 holes across 12 targets.
At the Murmac Project 8.4 meters at 0.3% UO was drilled including a high-grade section reaching up to 13.8% UO at a shallow depth of just 64 meters below the surface.
The presence of this high-grade mineralization within graphitic and structurally favorable rocks validates Aero's exploration strategy, targeting basement-hosted deposits similar to notable discoveries like the Arrow and Triple R deposits in the Athabasca region.
Video footage captured on site during surface prospecting showcased uranium-rich zones registering up to 11,000 counts per second (cps), indicating substantial radioactivity. These results suggest in situ uranium sources, marking a pivotal discovery that Aero is keen to follow up on with assays and additional drilling.
Watch:
Overall, AERO has identified over 70 km of prospective graphitic horizons, which remain largely unexplored.
Aero plans to continue its aggressive exploration campaign through a winter 2024 drill program, focusing on refining targets and potentially expanding high-grade mineralization zones.
With joint investments of $7.6 million from partners Fortune Bay (TSXV: FOR) and Standard Uranium (TSXV: STND) since 2020, the Murmac and Sun Dog projects have emerged as high-potential targets for further exploration.
Aero’s strategy combines historical data with modern exploration techniques to advance uranium discovery in the Athabasca Basin's northern margin, positioning the company at the forefront of Saskatchewan’s evolving uranium sector.
