RE:RE:RE:How hiring Jefferies can maximize shareholder value?Definitely looking bleak for Corus. Corus up for sale can look at various options as Mar 31 being the deadline to get their house in order. I wonder if a big American Player may step up to the plate as may give them a way into the Canadian market e.g., similar to Quebecor agenda of introducing mobile across the country. However, may not be allowed with Government restrictions to protect Bell, Rogers, Telus.
Another point made is how Rogers basically put the nail in the coffin on Corus or basically started the significant downturn in July.. There is definiitely competition in the market place but sometimes there exists the gentleman honor in the industry. Have experiences with large American companies and sometimes that 5 percent or less in sales if businesses are different in many aspects e.g., no mobile for Corus, just dont go there, especailly if businesses compliment in certain ways such as providing channels (Corus) to cable/satellite (Rogers). That one is a hard one to digest from an ethically sense, However, if from a different perpective e.g., both mobile providers bring it on as compettition is on. Plus, it just seems off as Shaw sold there cable/satellite service to Rogers (still in many ways under the name Shaw). Then Rogers again sets the dagger into the JR Shaw familly in Corus. Very interesting on that angle.
