RE:RE:RE:New Press Release - Cenovus Energy announces renewal of share buyback programLosing $150 million of value is not really that appealing as a shareholder.  It does make you consider whether further debt reduction would have been a better use of funds?  Maybe 50% towards debt reduction and 50% to buybacks.   That being said, if the share price was $28 now, we would all be saying how smart they were to do buybacks at $25.   

The strategy of buybacks probably has to be evaluated after 12 month period to really see its effect.    Here is to hoping we actually get some share appreciation in 2025 and start really getting a good return on CVE.
