RE:RE:RE:Nuttall see trump as positive for Canadian oil

RE:RE:RE:Nuttall see trump as positive for Canadian oilYeah my apologies Marty, my comments were not intended to be a reflection of you. My problem is that Nuttal does a disservice to bte because he frames his analysis on wti as a reference, leading people to believe that it's influence on bte sp has greater weight than it really does so if wti goes down their trading actions are biased towards selling.

I believe that Frank is correct in saying that investor sentiment is manipulated by the headlines which the manipulators selectively promote or suppress, as required, in order to create the volatility that they need in order to make money. Create bearish sentiment, sp falls, they buy cheap shares, the create bullish sentiment where they sell into the rally. Then down again and up and down like a yoyo with them making money whether it goes up or down.

Now if you take Moemoney's suggestion and trade on netbacks on specific blends that bte produces then you'd quickly see that the influence of wti has much less effect than people believe it does so the influence of the headlines would be greatly attenuated.

Anyway, I'm a heavy oil bull, sweet or sour, and I think that bte is way undervalued. I wish that the talking heads on TV would focus in on the future supply and demand of heavy oil.
