RE:To the obvious detractors. LOL. Like the shifting sands of time every move Yfi makes is an amazing play even if it breaks with the past. Now Yfi isn't selling IP they are renting it. Seems strange for the world wide leader in spectrum slicing. Yfi isn't part of an ecosystem in any relevant sense. They are simply licensing better tech than they have which can be used at a starting point to design something. Which is really odd cuz they are supposed to be launching a product in a few weeks. Is that dead, or are they going to launch a half azzed mabob and maybe something new in two years.
As for start up Yfi isn't one. It's a 12 year old company with 22 year old ideas. They also face massive headwinds apparently in fundraising. They couldn't raise $500k recently, so how you think they are about to raise $25M is bizarre. The fact you think a company with 2-3 employees is about to out innovate the market is pure madness.
As for relationships Yfi has been at conferences, demos, meetings, and on and on with all the big players (according to Yfi) for 8 years. So it sounds like they have been banging doers and getting no interest from actual buyers. So another support program isn't about to do much.
Lastly, Yfi has no track record. Zip. Nada. Nothing. They have never had an iota of real commercial success. It's the definition of random company. The guys who had that booth at that show. Ya those guys. Where you see vision I see endless hype. Anyone can spark up the old PR machine, but only players can play. Yfi ain't a player.
BTW nice hypster posts today. You make a compelling case for people who don't know sh!t from shinola
