Avathon, a leader in AI solutions for industrial operations, is partnering with BlackBerry (TSX:BB) to enhance the BlackBerry AtHoc critical event platform.
This collaboration integrates Avathon’s advanced computer vision AI technology, significantly improving the platform’s capabilities in managing critical events.
BlackBerry AtHoc is designed to help organizations securely collect, validate, and share information across multiple channels, enabling a coordinated response during emergencies. Notably, it operates independently of enterprise IT networks, ensuring operational resilience and secure messaging even when primary communication systems are compromised.
With the integration of Avathon’s computer vision AI, users can now leverage real-time insights from existing CCTV cameras. This technology detects and classifies objects, scenes, and situations, allowing organizations to understand and respond proactively to their environments. By providing actionable data, the partnership empowers users to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and determine the best course of action once a situation has been resolved.
“AtHoc is the single source of truth for crisis management; we’re making sure all relevant parties have every bit of critical information as soon as it is available, providing a best-in-class streamlined approach to incident response,” BlackBerry’s senior director of global channel partners, carriers and MSPs, Jamie Mills said in a media release. “Our use of Avathon’s visual AI helps ensure that customers have all the data needed to make informed decisions in real time.”
As industries increasingly rely on advanced technologies for safety and efficiency, this collaboration positions both Avathon and BlackBerry at the forefront of innovation in critical event management.
BlackBerry provides intelligent security software and services to enterprises and governments around the world. The company secures more than 500 million endpoints including more than 235 million vehicles.
