NEWS: AMQ Shares Deepest Drill Intercept at B26 Cu Deposit Today, Abitibi Metals Corp. (AMQ.c or AMQFF for US investors) shared significant results from its ongoing 16,500 m Phase II drill program at the B26 Copper/Polymetallic Deposit.
Most notably, 4.9% CuEq over 4m was drilled within a broader interval of 2.4% CuEq over 17.5m, starting at a depth of 1,186.6m.
This intercept represents an increase in grade compared to the company's updated resource estimate and is noted as the deepest in the project's history.
Another hole returned 2.1% CuEq over 7.25m within a wider interval of 0.86% CuEq over 37.3m, beginning at 1,206 m as well as 1.7% CuEq over 7.8m, starting at 1,261m, further bolstering results.
Both holes targeted a new extensional zone approximately 200m below historical drilling, extending potential beyond the western limit of the B26 deposit and emphasizing the opportunity for further discoveries.
Notably, AMQ is fully funded to complete the ongoing Phase II drill program as well as an additional 20,000m of drilling planned for 2025, aimed at enhancing the project's resource model ahead of a planned Preliminary Economic Assessment.
The current resource estimate for the B26 Deposit stands at 11.3 MT @ 2.13% Cu Eq (Indicated) and 7.2 MT @ 2.21% Cu Eq (Inferred).
