Just getting better and better @ordos I was anticipating news about the hydrogen generator at some point by the end of the year. Bernard actually mentioned they will be updating the shareholders on the generator by the end of the year.
To me what stands out especially is the fact that the technology is completely disruptive in a mature industry. The patent office confirmed this by saying that they essentially don't even have prior patents that can challenge this approach. This reminds me of how FSR is also disruptive for the mature fumed silica industry.
HPQ Silicon is now confirmed to have 4 successfully progressing business lines:
1. Quartz Reduction Reactor (QRR) - 1-step high purity silicon metal production from quartz rock. Pilot scale. Primary output: high purity silicon metal. By product: synthetic fuel. Zero emissions.
2. Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR) - 1-step fumed silica production from quartz rock. Pilot scale. Primary output: commercial grade fumed silica. Most likely low to zero emissions too, since based on simplified QRR technology
3. Metagene - compressed hydrogen grid independent generator. Lab scale. Primary output: high pressure hydrogen gas. By product: non-hazardous Si-Al material that could be used in construction
4. SiOx battery anode additive material - production of SiOx silicon metal based battery anode additive material that can be simply mixed together with graphite currently at 10% ratio, to increase capacity by 40%. Pilot scale pending. Primary output: SiOx battery anode additive material. Most likely low to zero emissions too, since based on QRR technology
