RE:Excess Cape yield on S&P 500
Wow..............I say this with the absolute least intent of any bravado but save and accept for the rarest of years, I don't think I have ever returned less than 10 percent overall annual return. All the power to those index fund type investors but without risk and at least a little bit of knowledge, not sure the stock market is ideal. If however you want to acquire a bit of knowledge and can apply yourself, even in times of overbought conditions, there is almost always opportunities to make returns. If however, the sky is continually falling because the stars and the moons aren't perfectly aligned and the text book doesn't tell you what to do when their not (which as most of us know is usually more often than not) then you better have at those index funds and bills and take your meager returns, with any luck you'll keep up with CPI.
