Of course big pharm know about it. And note that these 3 companies all have Alzheimer drugs with positive trials but commercialization has proven difficult. They all spent a lot of $$$ doing those trials : costing over a billion dollar. Esai even had a partnerhsip with Cogstate in Australia so they would use them for commercialization. Cancelled that despite having a succesfull phase III.
It would cost them less now but they typically do not mind buying after FDA approval (or UK approval) in this case when the risk is lower. Just like the majors gobbling up juniors when they are derisked.
And yes, one way or another, Dundee will get rid of their TauRx investment. And then, we can post on Magna or their other junior investments :)
