It takes about 12 months before all the revisions come in to know what's truly going on in the jobs market. This is why the recession during the GFC was announced on Dec of 2008 but it was backdated to December of 2007. I like to follow the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages. This tracks more than 95% of all jobs  that exist which is far more accurate than the non farms payroll report which uses a small sample size. The drawback of the QCEW report is that it can lag for up to a year. I wouldn't be surprised that these jobs figures will be revised significantly by the end of 2025. Then they can say, "remember when we told you that we created all those jobs in December? Well it turns out none of that was true."
