Can,
I'm a long time cannabis investor and a good portion of my shares in TLRY ported over from HEXO Corp. Those shares have an average that's insanely high due to the exchange rate. I've added cheaper TLRY shares to the mix but still sit in the red. I would bet my bottom dollar that there's folks out there in the red that have averages I would LOVE to have yet they're messing their pants more than me.
Here's how I see it. The trend in the sales is positive, much more than what I see in other companies. They're diversified so they're not dependant on just cannabis. With or without the US TLRY seems well situated in Europe so their cannabis numbers are highly likely to grow regardless if the US legalizing or not.
Clearly we have shorts in play, anyone looking at the Fintel reports can see that. Those guys are under contract to buy in order to cover the trade. Odds are that same piece of news will motivate every single one of them to cover at the same time (eg a EPS positive report or something else).
A good piece of positive news that gets well circulated is also going to motivate every investor that hears it to either buy more shares or (at minimum) not sell and wait a bit longer. That combination will give us a short squeeze to higher levels.
Shorts (successful or not) play a game of musical chairs. Eventually they will all have to scramble for a chair and the slowest of the lot takes the margin call.
I'm patient. I can watch the kids play their games for a very long time, they're not getting my shares to cover on without me taking a profit that justifies my hold time.
I wish you well, you're not alone.
Best Regards
