RE:RE:RE:Gold in the ground Maybe ES's guy is here ti obtain the best BUY IN deal NFG can get.
Like I said, allowing the Short position to push the share price down substantially, and giving no counter strategy against the huge increase in the short position ( from about 2 million shares short in May 2024 to well over 6 million shares short between the two exchanges currently), has been a major mistake in my view.
Yes, it's hard to combat a short position from having their way if the Short is willing to ramp up the number of shares short they hold. But, something could have been done.
So, NFG, given it's current low share price has lost considerable negotiating power....which may have been the Short positions desired goal......is the Short position Hired by some party to achieve this?....thus, the Short position is not concerned about losing money, as they are covered in that situation?
This seems rather far fetched, but it is a very logical possibility, and explains a lot in regard that the Short position has not been trying to cover at these low levels during tax loss selling season. ( the reported short position lags by a couple of weeks, so maybe the Shorts have begun to cover recently, but, up to now, they have not been trying - so who is the big buyer which seems possible in recent many weeks?).
