RE:RE:Critical Minerals ArticleHere Is the problem while Zinc is listed as a critical mineral it is not one that is any kind of short supply! Pretty much anywhere in the earth you punch a hole you hit zinc which is why it is always so cheap and quite often production goes down in countries like Canada. You have to be able to make money! As for critical being related to short supply not so much! While China is the largest producer of zinc in the world Chinese production is not needed in the US! US and Canada production of Zinc alone is enough to supply total demand of both countries. That is not to say alot of zinc is not bought from China. It is no different than oil and gas production! While the US produces more oil and gas than they in fact use they still purchase oil and gas from other countries such as Canada while exporting some of their own!
