As of 2023, the British Columbia (BC) total government debt (total liabilities) was $129.3 billion for the 2022-23 fiscal year (ending 31 March 2023).



There choice is make Sea pay up to an extra few hundred million dollars to reroute its tunnel over a longer distance or lose the tax revenues from the goldstorm deposit.... There is somewhere between $70 billion and $80 billion  of value  embedded in the goldstorm project. I suspect the federal government would even step in to help subsidize Sea's alteration of their tunnel route so they could get their share of the tax revenue from  the goldstorm deposit.....
