RE:Out of blackout periodInsiders are not day traders, they tend to be long term investors of the company, so be aware of that first and foremost.

Another overlooked fact about insider trading is that when an insider buys shares they are DOUBLE-INVESTED in the stock / company.

Yes, I'm sure you don't know this one as well but here's the reality.  The insiders work FOR the company therefore they get their paychecks from the company.  If the company should fail over the long-term then they don't just lose their investment,  they lose their paycheck as well, hense the term "double invested"

It's a significant positive when insiders buy, yes, true, but be sure to note that they're not selling either so therefore they are optimistic LONG TERM
