Not worried at all we will be exempt.....GLTAL0724 ET - Tariffs would be a major issue for Canadian business jet maker Bombardier if the next US administration imposes them. In a National Bank of Canada report Cameron Doerksen says that "given that final jet production and completion of all Bombardier planes is in Canada, a tariff has the potential to have significant consequences for Bombardier." Doerksen adds that a blanket 25% tariff on aerospace imports into the U.S. would be highly detrimental to US industry and would also impact Bombardier's business jet competitors to varying degrees. But, Doerksen says he remains hopeful that "reason will prevail" and that the aerospace will be exempted from any potential tariffs, adding that this issue will remain a key risk to the investment thesis on Bombardier.
