RE:Trump's Wasting No Time As it relates to Ivanhoe here's what is next...
The prior admin requirements were a pipe dream even for California where the public charger cables were being chopped off and stolen while the state was asking EV owners to refrain from charging their vehicles because the power grid couldn't handle it.
The 2025 changes will mean the US auto industry gets an extended lifeline at a time when most of the public is driving vehicles more than a decade old, can't afford the new electric vehicles, can't afford to replace the batteries in a 10 year old EV and the infrastructure is not ready.
PALLADIUM, PLATINUM, NICKEL, COPPER are needed for the internal combustion engines.
All Ivanhoe related and let's keep our market for palladium and platinum going while the EV change over takes time.
The EV''s take more copper but certainly doesn't help with holding a price for platinum or palladium.
EV's use more aluminum than IVE's use iron nickel compounds due to the lighter weight of aluminum.
We don't yet have an aluminum mine.
The 2025 policies appear to be moving to stimulate growth and build infrastructure. Today a $500 billion AI infrastructure project with it's own power generation was announced for the US.
The more infrastructure the more Ivanhoe metals used somewhere.
On the plus side I believe that approval for robotaxis will be secured much quicker than was previously anticipated.
This is huge as it will drive EV adoption and innovation where it makes sense.
