Not a bash, but a legitimate question brought on by the apparent success of Spirax. Why is there still such a demand for steam traps that fail when a GEM trap at least on paper seems so much better? Not only do they not fail, but they provide a significant energy savings. Yes, traditional traps are cheaper, but a company might be able to capitalize a GEM trap since it improves a system vice returning it to its original state. Yet as I mentioned, sales growth of GEM has been slow. Maybe we've turned a corner, but perhaps the company just has too many products and not enough people.
