Zavikoy survey confirms VMS target

Zavikoy survey confirms VMS targetODYSSEY RESOURCES LTD ("YOD-V") - Zavikoy Geophysics Confirms VMS Target Odyssey Resources Limited reports that a multi-parameter geophysical survey conducted over the Zavikoy copper prospect has successfully identified a cluster of gravity and electromagnetic anomalies. This includes a prominent coincident gravity and electromagnetic zone, which in context with existing geologic data presents a compelling volcanogenic massive sulfide "VMS" target. Diamond drilling of old copper workings in the 1970's, intersected over 100 meters of altered volcanic rocks hosting copper(silver mineralization in several zones averaging 0.3% copper. Furthermore, the style of mineralization, alteration and host rocks display characteristic features of footwall zones in VMS deposits of the Eastern Pontides, most notably Inmet's Cayeli mine. Significantly, the newly defined coincident geophysical anomaly lies above and beside this zone. A field report prepared by Odyssey's geophysical consultant, Allan Spector, PhD., details the main VMS target as two contiguous prominent gravity anomalies, possibly representing fault offsets of the same feature. The larger portion, Anomaly B, trends roughly east-west and is over 1 kilometer (1,000 meters) long. Its counterpart, Anomaly A, trends roughly northeast-southwest and is about 600 meters in length. Coincident with the gravity anomalies, is a large time domain electromagnetic (TEM) anomaly, the peaks of which overlap these gravity features. The larger and more intense portion of this anomaly, which is over 700 meters long, overlaps and extends beyond gravity Anomaly B. Two other gravity anomalies were partly delineated, as well, and may be related to the main target. A plan map and two cross sections displaying these results are posted on the company's website. The Zavikoy prospect is located 12 km to the northeast of the Lucky Star zinc-lead-silver discovery, at the opposite end of a syn-volcanic basin and along the same northeast-trending linear feature which hosts both massive sulfide targets. Odyssey recently announced a number of significant coincident gravity and electromagnetic anomalies over the Lucky Star prospect. The Lucky Star property is situated in the Eastern Pontides in northern Turkey and covers over 250 square kilometers, where polymetallic mineralization is found in several locations. Odyssey Resources Limited is a publicly traded minerals exploration company focused on base and precious metals across the Mediterranean region. TEL: (604) 684-6098 D.
