big hole baby:hey bron, maybe i didn't seem clear:
i agree that the gross rock value has a greater contribution from
the copper than the gold. from my calculations, the average
copper equivalent grade seems to be around 0.8% copper,
which would not be considered "low grade". also did you know
that this project already has lots of infrastructure in place (there's
an existing government open pit mine operation on site) and so
the capital cost would be low compared to other new
development projects elsewhere. tonnage calcs. of 300 to 400
million t. @ 0.8% copper suggest to me that it's a pretty
significant deposit by global standards. not simply "another low
grade copper-gold porph". copper companies, like gold
companies, need low cost deposits to improve their bottom
lines. i bet we'll find out in due course the true economic
potential of this find to gbu. if there is indeed a mineable asset
there, it could be worth a couple of bucks to the shares alone...
nice to see the big volume returning - i think the analysts must
be telling their clients all about the impact of drill results like
we've just seen. and there are more coming:
the "Big Hole" i am referring to is not at Rosia Montana but at a
separate new GOLD-SILVER discovery down the trend.
i'm happy? are you?.....
