vague answer to own question

vague answer to own questionFinancial statements for 2002 had a section that separated out the investment commitment with Cum. at 12.6 million. Total r and d was about 40. They did not give the same guidance for the 2003 report that I can find but reported r/d as 45 mil. Assuming the same ratio would put the expense at 13 mil., roughly half the original 50 estimate. They must have spent a lot of money on the Ford venture up to fall of 2003. March 2004 is the deadline for the jv commitment to have the hpdi up and running in a Cummins engine. 18.4 mil in cash reserves in June plus the 16.6 bought deal.
