PARKSIDE MAKES FIRST SALES FROM CHINA OFFICE
The company has received its first purchase order from the newly opened office in Panyu, China. The order is for 11,000 pieces valued at $40,000, from Kangtai Camera World and will be a combination of Parkside's line of products LensPen, MiniPro and Digi-Klear.
Peter Meurrens, Parkside's managing director Asia, commented: "Kangtai has one of China's most extensive dealer networks with more than 200 dealers and agents across the country. This initial order should just fill the pipeline and reorder volumes should be significantly higher as product awareness grows."
The company is pleased with these fast results since the China office was only opened three weeks ago. Management's focus is to build strong relationships with major distributors and manufacturers throughout the world's fastest growing economy. Gary F. Ungaro, Parkside's chief executive officer, stated, "We will aggressively exploit our product line's competitive advantage at the critical point of attack and that is at the facilities which manufacture the products for which our accessories are designed."
