RE: News coverage of earnings...

RE: News coverage of earnings... How do you figure they expect sales to slow? The N.R. says they are expecting improved margins, and the company president says it "set the stage for an exciting 2004." The release also estimates next quarter's revenues at up to $470 million (well above street estimates)...That would top the revenues of the great quarter just reported even though the company acknowledges the next quarter is traditonally their weakest one! And the news article says ATI is gaining market share and improving margins and also says there are indications that the PC market is picking up again. Everything looks incredibly positive at the moment IMO....only negative is the insider trading charges facing Ho, but that isn't something that should impact the company's bottom line...if he is found guilty and has to pay a fine, it would come out of his own pocket, and I think it would be business as usual for ATI...but we'll see. Hard to believe, NVDA is up more than ATI today.
