RE: Demers explained why HPDI was held backUnfortunately, you are right. Build it and they will come was the hope. HPDI was the reason d'etre for wpt. Beginning this year they became the spark salesman for cummins until such a time as a market will be created by legislation. What we still don't know is how well the system works and how reliable it is (or not), as well as cost. I would like to know what the Norcal trucks are doing. Not a peep about what was the most promising deal (see nov. 28 2001 press release as an example). I don't think this has much impact on revenue since there never was much of it from hpdi. I think that wpt basically gave the engines to Norcal for testing in the hope that it would work out and they'd want more.
