AGM - Eclogite & $1000/ctI asked George from his experience with diamonds in SA what he thought the value of the crystal clear, well formed diamond was and he said he felt it would come in over $1000/ct. This diamond was incredible - it was clear beyond clear, as if it was clearer than glass. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Highest values I've heard coming out of FALC to date was $450/ct from DeBeers.
Also asked about the occurrence of eclogite in the kimberlite, and they said so far they haven't seen any actual 'nodules', but they are feeling the eclogite disaggregated, as they find lots and lots of eclogitic garnets.
