CA-AB-Calgary-ACCOUNTANT :. Status: Full Time, Employee Job Location: Calgary, AB A full time Accountant is required for the CriticalControl Finance Team. Working closely with the Controller, this person will be an accounts receivable specialist and will perform corporate accounting functions. Responsibilities: •Lead the accounts receivable process •Develop, maintain, document and communicate standards related to account receivable entry •Enter accounts receivable invoices accurately and on a timely basis •Follow up on overdue accounts receivable •Record journal entries •Ensure standards and policies are adhered to and internal controls are in place to support accounts receivable processes •Complete monthly reconciliation of accounts •Reconcile inter-company account balances •Assist with the on-going integration of our accounting systems •Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual working papers Required Skills: •Diploma or Degree with an accounting major (CMA or CGA students / candidates are welcome) •3 – 5 years experience in accounting or finance •Sound accounting knowledge coupled with strong technical skills •Proficiency with MS Office suite of products: Excel, Word, Outlook •Experience with Great Plains or equivalent financial accounting system would be an asset •Knowledge of project accounting for a professional services firm would be an asset Desired Skills: •Exceptional attention to detail •Demonstrated ability to analyze data in a meaningful way •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal •Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment •Self motivated and able to work with limited supervision If this opportunity interests you please submit your resume to:[e-mail] We thank all applicants for their interest in CriticalControl; however only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
