apples and orangesIf you are going to compare BPI to a company like Talisman, or any other company for that matter, make sure you know what it is that you are comparing. Talisman has over 384 million shares out - more than 10 times that of BPI. They probably have more than that in other share and debt structures (I don't have time to look). If you are going to say that BPI is going to be the next Talisman by comparing market cap, then that would mean BPI would be worth $300 a share (for the record, I'm not saying this is going to happen). Talisman has 4.7 trillion cu ft of gas reserves and 500 million some odd barrels of oil. BPI hopes to prove up 1/5 of the gas, and we don't have the oil. If you figure out what the Talisman gas alone is worth, take 1/5 of that, then you might have a number to compare. Just realize this is pretty simplistic for comparison. Also, Talisman sold their Sudan interests for just under $800 million. You might want to look at what assets were sold for this amount of money. I'm guessing the assest may have been sold at a discount so that Talisman could get the heck out of Sudan.
