RE: Ames

RE: AmesThis is the real competition for us. These are the big guys, we are going for the SME market. Travellersweb is no more than a portal, a shop window bringing together other peoples booking engines and inventory. TT/SB is the totoise in this race. What it has (and has shown is slow to aqquire) is it's own inventory. Travellersweb does not seem to. When you own (host) the inventory give people good backends, and distribute to major front ends such as Expedia, Sabre et al, you have a very solid business. You can see how long and costs invoilved in customers moving their business from one backend system to another. They need a big advantage to persuade them to move, and even then it is not easy. So as long as we keep loading them up and keep them happy, we have a tortoise that will win for us eventually. All we need knwo is for Bush to sort out government deficit before he kills US economy with falling dollar and rising interest rates.
