GLG TakeoverThe following is of course pure speculation, but lets assume the following: Both McEwen and Telfer are honest and highly competent; that according to the rumors (and some posted authority therefor) the GLG offer was known for some time to GG. Why would it not make sense for GG to go to WRM and present the following general idea; that is, GG would make a genuine offer to WRM, which was in the best interest of both sides and which was genuinely intended to go forward, but which was also intended (with or without notifying WRM of the GLG offer)to bind up WRM with GG as a form of "poison pill" to prevent the hostile GLG offer from succeeding? I am not sure how, notwithstanding the language of the GLG offer, it is possible to separate WRM out from GG at this late date. Thoughts? Goldsoldat
