RE: Tour de Sol 2005China has stated that their goal is to have 70,000 electric vehicles on the road in time for the 2008 Olympics. Several companies have prototype vehicles that match EFL's Maya and there will be a lot of competition, plus there will be competing technologies and there is no guarantee that Li-on will become the dominant technology. I don't like EFL's chances especially since Sankar said that the car is not a high priority. It just is more of the same from EFL - lack of planning and too slow to execute. The absence of news on Exide is a perfect example of management's inability to execute and lack of regard for shareholders. I would like to see a lot of shareholders call in at the next CC in 2-3 weeks and really get on them for some answers. Other than kingthorpe, anybody else planning to call?
