excellent newsCons Global Minerals to acquire seven Utah claim groups Consolidated Global Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:CTG) Shares Issued 43,341,710 Last Close 2/4/2005 $0.40 Monday February 07 2005 - News Release Mr. George Heard reports CONSOLIDATED GLOBAL MINERALS LTD. BEGINS URANIUM PROJECT; FIRST TRANCHE OF PRIVATE PLACEMENT CLOSES Consolidated Global Minerals Ltd. is planning to acquire seven claim groups by way of option. These claim groups have recently been staked to cover uranium prospects in southeastern Utah. The claims were located to cover geology similar to several of Utah's most productive uranium mining districts. Additional details will be provided once the staking and acquisition program has been completed. The company's strategy is to target geology similar to known districts such as the Big Indian mining district, which contains the historical Mi Vida mine. In total, the Big Indian mining district produced plus/minus 80 million pounds of uranium and 18.5 million pounds of vanadium between 1948 and 1988. This district is Utah's premier uranium area, accounting for more than 80 per cent of the state's production. It is noted for its higher grade of uranium and the larger tonnage of its ore deposits. The company also announces that it has closed the first tranche of the private placement announced in Stockwatch Jan. 7, 2005, pursuant to which 1,825,000 units at a price of 40 cents were issued. The securities have a hold period expiring on May 26, 2005. © 2005 Canjex Publishing Ltd.
