RE: GDS/SpeedRes

RE: GDS/SpeedRes"A TT/SB installation appears to take 12 weeks, has anyone have any idea how long it will take to install the GDS link to a SpeedRes customer? " A speedres installation takes about 12 weeks too, including the web booking front end. The GDS module is a bolt on to this, and should take much less. All it does is make available additional inventory (from the GDS such as scheduled flights etc) into eh existing web booking interface. THere is no change of systems, huge testing and training there is with putting in a TT/SB or a speedres, most of the system remains exactly the same. If the GDS is finished, then assume some teething delays issues with the first one or two implementations, then once resolved, should roll out quite quickly and hit bottom line reasonably quickly too (months). There are a couple of caveats listed above, but once first couple are in and happy we should be in business of ramping up income. jmo Idle
