RE: Special Post on IndiaAlright but keep in mind that both China and India have this probelm. Even though China has a lower birthrate, 800 million live in poverty. They are both gonna pull a Japan. China will grow at 8% for like the next 30 years. India is at 6-7% now per year. If we get a good monsoon then it's 8%. I'm pretty sure we will hit double digits if we pull of the right reforms as Bill Clinton echoed during his visit a few years ago. There is no looking back though. Oh some vital differences in China vs. India. India has a strong banking secor. India also has a vibrant domestic economy. Where China relies heavily on trade as a % of GDP, India does not.
