RE: china
RE: chinaALZ have received approval by the West Aust Mines Dept to contiue exploration on the following uranium prospect.
YUINMERY URANIUM PROJECT [YUINMERY, WESTERN AUSTRALIA]
In stepping up its search in Western Australia for uranium properties with defined resources, Aldershot applied on November 25, 2004, for a second exploration license, ELA57/593, an area of about 75 square kilometers in the East Murcheson mining field near the town of Yuinmery, 480 kilometers northeast of Perth.
The September 2, 1998 open file report available from the Western Australian government states: “The project contains an indicated mineral resource of 1.58 million tonnes at 0.037% U3O8 at a 0.025% U3O8 cut off grade. The resource is open to the south and west.
“Resources could be substantially increased by infill drilling to test ground radiometric highs representing possible high grade zones the license has excellent exploration potential. A large radiometric high extends 7 kilometers south from the identified resource area over a playa (sandy lake). Three types of geological targets occur that are numerous and remain largely unexplored.
1) “Near surface oxidized enrichment on the playa lake;
2) “Near surface oxidized calcrete-chemical delta playa lake style mineralization;
3) “Mineralized redox fronts in the deeper reduced lake sediments.”

I have heard a strong rumour that ALZ have pegged some more ground found by their Geologist in the NT.
