Visualizing Where AZX is Drilling at Zone 4

Hey all,

This is my first attempt at showing where Orenada's 2015-2017 drill program is taking place in relation to the original resource estimate in 2008 for Zone 4. It was a bit tricky to get the sample locations, but it should be close to the actual numbers. Once I lined up the background image with the actual coordinates, I was able to capture the location data with an analytics program that I use. Although faded, I kept the background picture in my chart, so you can see the underlying geology.

User image

Saying that, I'm not entirely 100% confident for the locations of the 2008 drill locations in relation to the picture. These holes were not shown from the 2017 news releases to give me a convenient reference point, but the actual coordinate data exists in the 2008 technical reports. I only make note of this, because my method in collecting the data was different... which *could* lead to slight inaccuracies in location. If you see something obviously wrong, then please let me know.

This is also not a comprehensive list of all holes drilled by Alexandria in Zone 4 in 2017, but just a data visualization to help show how the new drill program's approach is different from the original resource estimate. I have been looking at these drill numbers in charts and spreadsheets for so long that I really wanted to see it from a bigger picture perspective. Hopefully, others will also benefit from this approach.

The first thing that stood out to me was how much further south the start of these samples were drilled from. This actually makes sense if you look at the graphics attached to some of the drill results in 2017, because from those pictures, it appears AZX reversed the angle of the drilling. So, the trailing goes up, instead of down. If I'm describing this incorrectly, then please respond with more accurate information. :-)

Second, I think investors are underestimating how many drill samples are being collected for the new resource estimate compared to 2008. This dynamic is especially true for Zone 4, and I'm expecting a large portion of the resource increase to occur from the results in this area. In 2008, only 22 holes were drilled in Zone 4, where the best grading assays were only 1-1.5 g/t of gold and below 400m.

So, I am encouraged after reviewing many of the results from the recent drill program at Zone 4. I'm also more confident in the updated resource estimate after seeing how Alexandria is not only trying to redefine the current resource with a higher grade, but they are also trying to expand the resource area.

NP

Disclosure: I own AZX, I'm not a geologist, I do not work in the resource industry, do your own due dilligence, this is not financial advice.

I posted the location data below, for those of you that want to check my work. You may also notice that several of the drill locations below do not have results yet... maybe soon??? :-)

Hey all, So, I think it's worth my time to explain the method I used for finding the drilling locations in Zone 4. I hope others will find the process described in this post interesting. Before I go any further, I want to make clear, just in case there any confusion exists, Alexandria Minerals does not necessarily endorse any of my opinions, expectations, or analysis. I'm only sharing my ...more

GH, I only focused on Zone 4 and the OAX drill numbers for this study. Saying this, I realize now I should have included one more hole number, AAX-07-12. This is the only AAX drill location within the Zone 4 area. It's results were released on May 29, 2007 with the following details. Date Hole Order From To Length ...more

Thanks NP. Yes, I saw that you concentrate only in Zone 4 (the first 3 fences on the insert, blow up of the area, shown in Figure 8 of the 2009 Technical Report). The show the drill hole numbers, but they could provide what you show here by adding the colour (=grade) and size of the circle (= intercept). NP, In my previous post I forgot to mention the following: - Your "Visualizing Drill Results at Zone 4" is essentially the plan view from a CoreBox visualiztion, link below (use Probe, and rotate the presentation until you can look straight down from above). Yeah, when I say 2008 RE, because the drill results happened in 2007-2008. For whatever reason, it's more natural for me to think in those terms, but you're right that it's 2009. I will start working on updating the map with several of the features you mentioned and looking at the more recent new release. ggrellette, Unfortunately, I'm a bit dense :-), so you're going to have to spell this out for me. The BOD that "The Concerned Shareholders" want to institute. Personally this would have all been avoided if EO would have drillled deeper instead of playing cat and mouse games and now the game is over for him. He was terminated as stated in his letter to shareholders. So as we all can see there is a power struggle going on. Hopefully you can see that at least.
