Re: AZX Proxy Battle: Bad Behavior Should Not Be Rewarded

First of all, I am new to Stockhouse, so if that disqualifies me from offering an opinion, so be it. I just read the posting "Alexandria Minerals Corporation Proxy Battle: Bad Behavior Should Not Be Rewarded". I am trying to put aside the emotional aspects of the posting, and the emotional responses to them. It seems the main issue brought up is that the posting is claiming that Peter Gundy intends to sell off parts of the company (property assets) piece by piece and use the proceeds to enrich and reward himself. This brings up images from the movie Wall Street where corporate raider Gordon Gekko took over an airline in order to profit. He did that not by making the airline a success with long term planning but by quickly breaking up the company and selling off the pieces for a profit to himself. The poster also seemed to suggest in the first paragraph that Gundy had engaged in this sort of behavior before: "Once again we are witnessing the destruction of a viable exploration company by a member of the board who was invited in..." Time will tell. If Gundy arranges the sale of primary assets or sells the company outright, and rewards himself and the board with the proceeds, the poster will turn out to have been prophetic after all. Has Gundy ever run a public company long term before? If not, I am concerned his motives are more short term oriented as accused by the poster.

GoldInvestor777 - I am going to address your post and no, being new to Stockhouse does in no way disqualify you from offering an opinion. You propose an interesting scenario, the Gordon Gekko scenario.  However, there are a few problems with your postulates.  First, whoever used his keyboard to manhandle Mr. Gundy, the Chairman of the Board of Alexandria Minerals, gave no proof of ...more

Well said Shylock.... I think you may have exposed an EO shill this evening. Clearly a psychological fear tactic is being employed to persuade as many shares as possible. What stands out to me is how does a board fracture and sell a company only to reward themselves and not the share holders. Is this even possible? Cruise

cruisemissle2012 - Yeah, the guy may well be a shill.  A few of the things he wrote and the subtle attempts to interject doubt just did not pass the "sniff" test. As for selling off the company to the advantage of the board and no one else, it is not generally possible unless there was some fraud or malfeasance or at the least bad faith involved to my knowledge.  We already ...more

great post, but the problem still lies with the gold price at present and available funds, with a trade war USA will get stronger and have short falls in the furture but will prevail, additionally rate increases will also affect gold, mines can not be profitable in this era of growth,AZX has no production, funds are being obsorbed to keep expenses up,there is no chance for a pp,this company will be ...more

bobdolen123456 - You are correct in that the price of gold is the main driver of all of these gold mines or potential mines absent incompetent or crooked management as was the case with Alexandria, now being rectified. But we also know the price of gold is a fraction of what it should be in a free market and is only being suppressed by the U.S. FED and the BIS with paper gold as per GATA to ...more

Along that line of thinking, this is worth a listen :  https://kingworldnews.com/whistleblower-andrew-maguire-all-swiss-gold-kilobar-production-now-sold-out-all-the-way-into-august/ The "day of reckoning" may be imminent

agree with all that, but,the manipulation has gone on for some time, how much time does AZX have
Comment by Shylock on Jun 24, 2018 7:50pm
bobdolen123456 - AZX does not have to outlast the manipulation of the price of gold  It just has to prove up its value in a true and honest fashion, something EO could not or would not do. BTW, the fuse on gold's price manipulation is getting shorter . . .
