Some Chalcocite math
Suppose Chris Paul's Chalcocite hand specimen depicted in the last press release has a volume of 1000 ml. Suppose that it is 20% Chalcocite by volume (200 ml) and 80% Quartz-Felspar by volume (800 ml).
200 ml x 5.75 g/ml = 1,150 g
800 ml x 2.70 g/ml = 2,160 g.
Total = 3,310 g
1,150/3,310 = 34.75% Chalcocite by weight
Chalcocite is 0.798 Copper by weight.
34.75% x 0.798 = 27.7% Cu or 277g/t.
To put that into perspective hole 23-05 had 1.94% Cu.
