This explains the selloff and the weak trading

"The Glenn 16-2H well has been on production for over 90 days and continues to perform very well. The well continues to exceed the possible type curve that was prepared by our outside reserve evaluators as at the end of last year.

After being re-started in early June, once a mechanical issue was addressed, the WLC 14-1H well 30 day initial production rate is 145 barrels of oil equivalent a day, with 130 barrels being oil. While production was increasing as more fracture stimulation fluid was recovered, it appears to have plateaued and is showing very low decline. The Company is conducting further analysis to determine the reason for the different flowback in this well compared to previous wells."

Too little production for a well costing that much, especially given the company's weak financial position. Just my opinon.

Mixed news. Disappointing well....think that has been baked in to the price here. Major working with them for next well.....good news. We have natural acquirers for this whole company. Also, the strength in WTI is helping BKX limp along until they sell to a major. bfw

Once again, insiders[ large instittutions] know the results before the public. I knew it. As soon as you see a desperate sell off a few weeks before a Well result, our cake was baked. Well I guess we hope that the Brock 4-2H is successful. The issue here is how do they increase reserves and continue to grow at a reasonable pace, if the WLC 14-1H and that whole area is worthless?

Broker, one low count well doesnt make the 'whole area worthless"..no offense but your knowledge appears limited with that comment. Its every well drillers known fact that no 2 wells produce the same.Look at any other companys wells output and they all vary...heck look at BKX'S own inventory for proof of that.To state that the whole area is worthless is just plain wrong.More wells need ...more

I have not sold as of yet, either. I fully understand that certain wells may produce at different levels and some may not pan out. That is great strategy and premise for someone like Exxon but not a micro-cap with no CASH. They do not have that luxury. Each well must have a extremely high probabiity of being successful or you do not drill at that location. Their Brock and Glen wells are producing ...more

All valid points boys.If I may wade in on this, all oil stocks are down today which makes the market uncertain.Thats short term. With BKX,who knows? The volume is higher than normal, but for a 50 cent stock it sure doesnt take much to drop. I'm looking at things over a 6 month horizon..This day to day stuff is driving me nuts.Time for summer vacation..which BTW..may be a popular thought for many ...more

These guys drilling these wells need some big time help from some majors....the track record is poor....and that shows in the stock price...........what  do we do now wait for the next well?? Its starting to feel like Poland all over agian. Burning up cash
