Michelle Wearing's sentiment are the same reasons I am staying long.   As for the drop, yes it is disconcerting but are we really surprised the shorts would not return at some point this year?   The company is highly levered and is on short seller's radar screens.  I happen to think the decline in treasury yields is good for the stock, despite recession concerns.& ...more

We are a long way from the US$21 that management was offering to buy shares in March and no one really wanted to sell.....nonetheless,  this has been a pretty solid week and yesterday's price action, including BPR, was strong (with some big blocks crossing the tape). Lets hope this continues......it would have been nice to see management buying on this weakness but it does not look like ...more

Correction to my last post.....in the Month of May, the company bought back 1.652 million shares at an average cost per share of $19.25 (which is better than the US$21 offered back in the substantial issuer bid). It is good to see management continues to be active, but it would be nice to see the original US$500 million offered in the substantial issuer bid get completed. I calculate they have ...more

Hey  Vette, just hoping this isn’t a big pump and dump, I have seen this before. The selling last fall was relentless. Maybe it could have been much lower. Makes you wonder when Motley Fool is a big cheerleader.

Hi Flyin, I don't follow Motley Fool at all so I am not sure what they are saying.....I do read Seeking Alpha and there has been a ton of positive articles by people who seem to do their homework. In your context of pump and dump, most important for BPY, it is BAM's largest single investment and furthermore, it has good institutional backing in its float.  Personally I think pump ...more
