US Steel and Nippon

Biden has promised to block the acquisition of US Steel by Japan's Nippon Steel and triple tariffs on Chinese Steel.  Does any of this open the door for interest in the ROF?  Is Conrad Black lobbying the US government on our behalf?

Doubtful, he was paid a ton to write one column in his rag.   FN's on board, provincial Gov on board, Feds have earmarked cash for projects. All parties need to play nice and get this moving. Once they all agree they should be expediating this to take advantage of current times. US needs solid North American producer's for national defense, winter road season up north is ...more

What about India's steel - Brazils steel - and others ?  Won't make a difference - forgein ownership of all Steel companies have already taken place years ago ... Dofasco ( Mital ) Ipsco , Stelco , etc ,,, none are Canadian Ownerships
