In the era of advancing electric vehicles (EVs) and fuel cell technology, the demand for high-value battery metals is surging. With this, Recharge Resources (ticker: RR.c or RECHF for US investors) is committed to exploring and developing battery metals for the green, renewable energy sector.
RR's Georgia Lake North and West Properties are located northeast of Thunder Bay and span 419.6 and 251.9 hectares respectively.
RR recently completed an initial reconnaissance prospecting program at its 100% owned Georgia Lake North after finishing an airborne magnetic survey at the project which involved ground truthing, prospecting, and till sampling.
The results of this program are eagerly awaited and could hold the key to unlocking the region's lithium resources.
Importantly, RR's Georgia Lake North and West Properties are contiguous to Rock Tech Lithium's Georgia Lake Lithium Property, which has a history of lithium mineralization dating back to 1955. Rock Tech Lithium's Mineral Resource report shows that its project has a Measured and Indicated resource of 6.62MT at a Li2O Grade of 1.01%
Notably, Mercedes-Benz and Rock Tech struck a deal in 2022 that guarantees Mercedes-Benz a steady supply of 10,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium hydroxide per year from Rock Tech.
This partnership, with a five-year value of 1.5 billion euros, displays the potential of Canadian lithium companies to attract business from major international car manufacturers.
